Youth
Metro Credit Union currently serves nearly 700 members who are under the age of 18 with accounts that are designed to meet the needs of younger consumers.
Youth Club Savings Account
This account is available for a minimum opening membership deposit of $10 and there is no minimum deposit limit thereafter. Educational activity books and other nominal rewards are available to the young saver when the account is opened and as they make additional deposits.
Youth Checking Accounts
Members who are between the ages of 16 and 18 can qualify for a checking account along with a responsible adult as a joint account holder. This account provides an excellent opportunity for a young consumer to establish a financial identity and to learn the importance of disciplined spending.
Lance Green Memorial Scholarship
Since 2003, Metro Credit Union annually offers a $500 Lance Green Memorial Scholarship to a full-time student at both UW-Superior and WITC, Superior. Qualifying students need to be a Metro Credit Union member or a family member of a Metro member. Priority goes to students enrolled in the Finance, Accounting or Marketing programs. In addition to being a full-time student, they need to have a record of responsible action, record of service to the school or community and be a student with financial need.

Student Loans
As the time for high school graduation approaches, Metro can help those qualified members who are going on to college or tech school with loans through the Federal Family Education Loan program including Federal Stafford Loans, Federal Plus Loans and Federal Consolidation Loans.
